Pink Moment Blog

This year at HydroJug we decided to do something a little different for the month of October. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, we are launching our Pink Moment Campaign. We started this campaign on our social media at the beginning of the month, and we will continue to run it through the end of the month. We want to explain our Pink Moment Campaign just a little bit more, and show you all of the different ways that you can get involved with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Some facts and statistics about Breast Cancer.

What HydroJug is doing this month.

This month, in order to spread awareness, we asked you to share your personal stories and testimonials about Breast Cancer. We had an overwhelming number of submissions and we just want to say thank you for being so open and vulnerable with us. If your story wasn't shared, just know that we read each and every one of them. We also want to encourage you to continue to share your stories with us!

Along with sharing your stories, we have released our Pink Moment Bundle. This Bundle is dedicated to all of the survivors, the ones lost, and the family and friends who have been by their sides through it all. The Pink Moment Bundle includes a HydroJug, Straw, and Pink Moment Sleeve. It is completely customized for Breast Cancer Awareness month. The HydroJug and Straw are in our “Pink Power” color, and the Pink Moment Sleeve has our custom “We love Jugs” patch sewn into the side. Because "We love Jugs, (but Jugs don't make the woman".

HydroJug is giving back.

We had some people write in and share with us that they are currently battling Breast Cancer. We were really inspired by these women and we wanted to do something for them. That is why we have decided to donate 100% of the profits from our Pink Moment bundle to these women. We will be splitting it evenly between them, and we hope that our donation will ease their burden just a little bit. We just want to thank everyone again for sharing your stories with us.

What HydroJug has taken away from this experience.

Here at HydroJug we have a deeper understanding and appreciation for how Breast Cancer affects the lives of everyone that goes through it. We heard stories from patients, survivors, and their loved ones. Throughout all of the stories, there were 6 main takeaways that showed up...

Women are strong.

The strongest. Truly.

Advocate for your health.

You know your body better than anyone else. If you know that something is wrong, advocate for it. Mistakes and misdiagnoses happen, fight for what you think you need.

Cherish your time with your loved ones.

You never know what will happen in the future so cherish every moment you get with the ones you love.

Breast Cancer doesn’t discriminate.

Women, men, transgender, and nonbinary people can all get breast cancer or carry the gene. Everyone should be aware of this disease, which is why the month of October is especially important.

Get checked and self check regularly.

The best way to catch Breast Cancer early, is by regularly checking yourself and getting routine checks at the doctor.

Breast Cancer doesn’t only affect the patient but their family as well.

Shout out to all of the families and support systems who have gone through this and watched their loved ones go through this.

We feel especially touched by everything that we learned this month, and we will continue to keep these stories in mind not just this month but throughout the entire year. Thank you to everyone who shared stories with us. We will continue to post them throughout the month, and if you haven't gotten the chance to share your story with us, feel free to leave it in the comments of our posts, or to DM us on social media.

Thanks for your love and support,

HydroJug
