The Sleeve has truly become a staple piece of HydroJug. Because let’s be honest..what is a HydroJug without a Sleeve? In the past year, we have released more Sleeve designs than ever before bringing you dozens of options to choose from. But how do we come up with our patterns and how do we make these iconic accessories? We wish we could say that it was as simple as finding a cool design then making it into a Sleeve, but the process is actually much more complicated!

This is your official inside look at how we designed our new Charmed Bundle Sleeve.

Fun Fact: We started designing the Charmed Sleeve about 4 months ago! This timeline is usually the same for all of our Sleeves, meaning that we have to start planning our releases way in advance.When the design team meets to start a new Sleeve, they usually consider what month and time of year the Sleeve will be released, and what concepts fit well during that time period. There’s a lot of research that goes into styles, techniques, colors, and layouts. They consider every little detail. Even down to the color of the thread used in the stitching. Our design team is seriously amazing when it comes down to making sure you have an amazing product.

After the original design is created, the sleeve goes through a review process. They look at every detail and once they all agree, they send it off to our manufacturers and get a sample sleeve made. This part is really important, because the design may look good on paper, but in the end it has to look perfect on the actual product. This process can go back and forth a couple of times until our team is 100% satisfied with the look and quality.

After the final design is approved, we send it to the manufacturer for production. Once it’s made and in our warehouse, we set the official release day and the rest is history!
