Cup-Holder Basics

Quick key (guidance varies by vehicle):

• ≤ 2.80″ (≤ 71 mm) – fits most standard holders 
• 2.81–3.05″ (72–77 mm) – fits many; check tabs/grips 
• 3.06–3.25″ (78–83 mm) – larger or adjustable holders only 
• 3.25″ (> 83 mm) – rarely fits; measure first

Not designed for holders: Sport 64oz and Pro V2 73oz. 
Pro tip: Sleeves and silicone boots add bulk – measure your holder’s inner diameter at the narrowest point and leave 0.1–0.2″ clearance.

Care & Cleaning

• First use: Wash with warm, soapy water.
• Daily: Disassemble lid, straw, and gasket; wash, rinse, air-dry open (straw flipped up).
• Weekly deep clean: Soak removable parts 15–20 min; brush straw end-to-end; rinse until clear.
• Odor reset (one method at a time) : baking-soda soak; diluted vinegar rinse; vanilla towel overnight; or coffee grounds overnight.
• Avoid: Bleach, abrasives, boiling, microwave, or freezer.
• Dishwasher: Most bottles and lids are top-rack safe. Hand wash stainless exteriors to preserve finishes.

Safety & Use

• Hot liquids: The Coffee Traveler and Everyday Tumbler support hot and cold liquids. All other HydroJug products are for cold hydration only. Open slowly after extended sealed use to vent pressure.
• Carbonation: Not recommended; pressure can build. If used, open slowly and clean lid channels more often.
• Condensation: Insulated stainless bottles are sweat-proof; single-wall plastics may sweat with cold drinks.

When to replace: 

• Straws – split, cloudy, or loose.
• Lids – lock or closure no longer seals firmly.

• Availability: Select stainless models only.
• Care: Same as the base product; avoid abrasives on etched areas.

FAQs

Are HydroJugs BPA-free?

Yes – all HydroJug bottles are made from BPA-free plastics and/or food-grade stainless steel. 

Are HydroJugs dishwasher safe?

Most are top-rack safe; hand wash is recommended for stainless exteriors. 

Do HydroJugs fit car cup-holders?

Many do – base smaller than 3.0″ is your best bet. Large formats (64oz/73oz) are not designed for car holders. 

Can I use hot liquids?

The Coffee Traveler and Everyday Tumbler both support hot liquids. The Coffee Traveler keeps drinks hot for up to 6 hours. All other HydroJug products are for cold hydration only.

Can I personalize my HydroJug?

Yes – customization is permanent and available on select stainless models.
